Othercide surgeon1/31/2024 Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous: Was covered on Cubic Creativity before.Of course, I am not the only one writing about the Humble Choice games and it only seems right to give you an overview of what else is in store review-wise. For the February round, I decided to pick “Othercide” as my contribution to the review series, which I had no prior knowledge about but which managed to gain my attention with its presentation. Another set of games for an affordable price with many titles probably being unknown to most players not for quality reasons, but rather because there are so many games on the market that you cannot keep up with every release. Yet another round of Blaugustian community reviews comes with Humble Choice in February 2023. Your Blademaster should be on hit and run duty, using Lightning Strike when she has it, but backing off whenever the Shieldbearer losses agro or the boss starts charging Group Therapy.Releases: 2020 (Nintendo Switch, PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One) Now’s the time to use your Soulslinger’s Intercepting Round as soon as you can to interrupt the Surgeon’s new attacks. Keep on using Slam when you can, as well as Blacksmith’s Grace to buff her defense. Your Shieldbearer’s tactics won’t change much in the second phase. Whatever damage your Shieldbearer can do during this phase is a bonus, but focus on just kiting the boss for the most part, or using Slam to delay their turn. Caretakers have a total of 588 HP, so Lightning Strikes from the Blademaster can whittle them down pretty fast. Use your Shieldbearer to pull the boss’s attention and absorb as many hits as possible while your other two units (recommended to be a Blademaster and Soulsinger) clean up the Caretakers as fast as possible. Keep in mind he will continue to summon more Caretakers on his turns, and all have to be dead at the same time for the phase to end. The only way to push the boss into the second phase is to have all Caretakers dead at once, so the faster you can accomplish this, the better. Attacking him directly would be pointless until all four are dealt with, so prioritize taking them down while avoiding the Surgeon’s scissor attack. Phase OneĪt the start of the battle, the Surgeon will already have four Caretakers buffing him with both armor and initiative. His second, Group Therapy, needs to be charged, but deals spike damage in an area all around him. The first is another instant attack called Relentless Therapy, which is a three-hit attack. Once you get to phase two of the fight, the Surgeon gets two new abilities at his disposal. Another instant move will summon Caretakers. If any of your daughters are caught in that area, they’ll take 500 damage and be pushed back. One is an instant attack with its giant scissors straight ahead. During the first phase (yes, this boss has two phases) it will only have two actions. First off, the Surgeon has a total of 7,000 HP – which shouldn’t be too much a surprise considering it is a boss, after all. The Surgeon is a very annoying first boss to come up against, but knowing how much HP it has, all of its attacks, and its abilities will make formulating a winning strategy much easier. Right off the bat, we recommend taking in a Shieldbearer, Blademaster, and Soulsinger. You’re going in with only three daughters, and picking the wrong ones is an easy way to end your run before it even gets started. If you’ve already been sent back to the start of your game by this imposing monster and its minions, this guide will prepare you with all the knowledge and tips you’ll need to turn the tide on this scissor wielding foe. This first boss of Othercide is a real killer, in fact, and will no doubt be the first major hurdle that many players come up against.
